Box making class today.
I love it when students are enthusiastic and interested and really seem to 'get' what I'm trying to show them...
Boxes are quite challenging to teach I think, what with all the fiddly folds and precice measurement and gluing (I feel like I need to make a giant box, just to demonstrate the shapes to cut out at the corners. Hmmm. Perhaps I could?) but it's so rewarding when the class ends with 8 sucessful beginnings...

I have a "thing: about boxes. Yours look amazingly neat. I have been to an "all in one clamshell box" class and in November we (NW SOB) are having another workshop with Stephen Conway. Maybe you know him and his bindery?
I love boxes too - almost as much as books but not quite!
Love boxes, and making them. I suppose I could use a little practice though.
OT, but -- I was at a book arts demonstration, and one of your books was used as an example slide!
what a beautiful box! every time i read about your classes i wish i could hop over the ocean and sit in :) the details are so perfectly considered in all your work.
